Short, because there is not much to say.
Particular Palate is free. There is no subscription, no trial, and no paid tier. If that changes, existing accounts keep what they have and you will be told before anything is asked of you.
What we store
Your child's first name or nickname, date of birth, sex, cleft type, and the measurements and feeds you enter. Your email address, because it is how you sign in.
Who can see it
You, and anyone you deliberately share a child profile with. Nobody else. Row-level security in the database is scoped to your account, so a request made with your key can only ever return your rows.
- Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers.
- It is not used to train models.
- It is not aggregated into research datasets or reports.
- There are no third-party analytics or advertising scripts on this site.
Encryption
Traffic runs over TLS. Data is encrypted at rest by the database host. Passwords are hashed and salted and are never stored in a readable form, which also means nobody here can read yours back to you.
Service providers
Being honest is more useful than claiming nothing touches your data. The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. The database, authentication, and file storage are Supabase, which runs on Amazon Web Services. Both hold data on our behalf under their own terms; neither has any right to use it for their own purposes.
Deleting it
Delete a child profile and its feeds and measurements go with it. Delete your account and everything goes, including backups, within thirty days. There is no dark pattern and no retention window designed to change your mind.
This is not medical advice
Particular Palate records what you type and does arithmetic on it. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or set targets. Percentiles come from the WHO Child Growth Standards and are a reference, not a verdict. Your feeding plan comes from your dietitian and cleft team, and any decision to change volumes, thicken, restrict, or add fortifier belongs to them. If your child is struggling to breathe, turning blue or grey, or not waking to feed, that is an emergency and this app is the wrong place to be.
Accuracy
The numbers here are only as good as what you enter at three in the morning. Export your data before an appointment rather than trusting a screen you have not checked.
